Remove Cataracts With Precision Surgery

This common surgery is one of the most consistently successful procedures when it comes to the eyes. Catalys® precision laser systems provide the next level in precision, bringing better, safer, and more gentle results. The femtosecond Catalys is specially designed for cataract surgery, and is in use in only a few select practices nationwide.  St. Lucie Eye is pleased to offer this technology to our patients, along with the improved outcome it brings for cataract surgery patients

Prior to the surgery, preoperative medical evaluation is performed with the assistance of the Zeiss IOL Master Lens power calculator. Your provider will give you a complete retinal evaluation, and ensure that laser cataract surgery is recommended for you as an individual. Your safety is the chief concern, so this pre-op evaluation is vital. If you are using anticoagulants, the surgery will be performed with a safe topical anesthetic.

While this is a delicate procedure, laser cataract surgery can be done on an outpatient basis, and takes only about 10-15 minutes. The cataract is removed through a microsurgical incision, only about ⅛ of an inch in length. Laser cataract surgery optimizes your recovery time, and you will be able to go home shortly after the procedure is completed.

With decades of combined experience and thousands of successful surgeries in the past, the physicians of St. Lucie Eye can offer you the safest, most effective treatment for cataract, using cutting-edge technology.
