St. Lucie Eye (SLE) is pleased to welcome board-certified ophthalmologist Dr. M. Davina Kirschenbaum to our team of dedicated eye care specialists.
Dr. Kirschenbaum specializes in cataract surgery, laser vision correction and the diagnosis and treatment of corneal disease, providing advanced surgical and medical eye care for patients of all ages. She is known for her collaborative approach, her ability to build strong rapport with patients and her commitment to delivering highly personalized, compassionate care.
Dr. Kirschenbaum completed her ophthalmology residency at Georgetown University Hospital and went on to complete fellowship training in cornea and refractive surgery at the John A. Moran Eye Center at the University of Utah, one of the nation’s leading ophthalmic training institutions. She earned her medical degree through a highly selective seven-year BS/MD program at the Sophie Davis School of Biomedical Education and New York Medical College, graduating magna cum laude and as a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society.
Throughout her career, Dr. Kirschenbaum has remained actively involved in clinical research, authoring numerous peer-reviewed publications and presenting at national ophthalmology meetings. She has also served as a lecturer and mentor for medical students and ophthalmology residents, contributing to the education and training of future physicians.
Dr. Kirschenbaum is committed to combining advanced surgical technology with compassionate, patient-centered treatment to help patients achieve their best possible vision and long-term eye health.
She is now accepting new patients and will see patients at our Ft. Pierce, Port St. Lucie West and Port St. Lucie East locations.
